Who am I ?
I am a Chartered Surveyor who has specialised in property compensation/blight matters for the past 15 years. As a former council employee I have often been described by newspapers and television reports as "a Robin Hood" character or "Gamekeeper turned Poacher". I write regularly for the newspapers and technical magazines and as a former lecturer in valuation/compensation matters I have often appeared as an "expert witness" in cases that have been brought to court.
I am currently a member of the Compensation Panel for my governing
body - Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - which regularly meets to
decide on Compensation legislation/working papers and its members
reaction to various Government proposals. As I have been dealing
exclusively with Blight/Compensation matters for fifteen years I have a
proven track record having dealt with thousands of cases. Many of these
cases have been reported in the media and are available to read on this site.
I offer a personal approach and my offices are staffed by family members. An out of hours answer phone, fax and e-mail system ensures that your enquiries can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.
Most of the work we do is based on a "NO WIN NO FEE" basis ( as per the American system) and in most cases our fee can be claimed from the offending authority. This ensures that the homeowner or businessman does not incur any additional expenditure which would inconvenience their situation further to the compensation awarded.
We have represented many environmental groups and residents Action Groups. Our clientele consists of multi-national companies to private individuals.
